The Hudson River Beckons
I started my Path of an Artist curated travel experiences to meld my love of travel with indulgent hospitality. I like to keep the trips small and intimate and bring local artisans into the mix. I am so excited to offer this taste of the Hudson Valley, where one can see the artistic historical roots of the area, while experiencing the vitality of contemporary art in real time. Our basecamp is Beacon, sixty miles north of New York. Follow me to some of my favorite finds, when spring is transitioning into summer and green lush foliage breaks into view. Art flourishes. All you need to do is Just Say Oui!
Enjoy four nights lodging in a spacious room with high ceilings and exposed brick on Fishkill Creek where you can walk into the charming and historic town of Beacon. Satiate your senses with excursions to three iconic and inspiring art avenues, nourished by delicious artisan meals and wine. Restore you creative time with some painted studies and color note-taking. Expand your artistic tribe and meet local Hudson Valley artists.

Beat the late summer heat and join me for a coastal getaway at the cool Mendocino Grove. In this inspiring two-night/ three-day glamping and painting retreat, attendees will enjoy half-day guided painting sessions after a gourmet breakfast, and then reconvene for a DELICIOUS dinner in our outdoor space. This six-day/five night workshop provides restorative and creative time in the Timpanganos mountains. It has become a favorite of artists looking to for time and space to decompress and renew their creative energies. The quintessential natural beauty at Sundance Resort is integrated throughout the experience of art making, delicious food and drink, hiking/napping and fresh mountain air.
Enjoy private accommodation for five nights of fun, art making, restorative practices, delicious food and wine, surrounded by the beautiful Timpanagos Mountains and in the company of like- minded artists.

Ready to reinvent your ideas of travel and art-making? Indulge your creative self with this inspiring painting trip to France. Think of it as field notes for painters. It begins with four stimulating days in the heart of Paris' 6th Arrondissement before heading to the Mediterranean. Three star newly-renovated accommodation in Paris will be our base as we paint our way along the Seine and through the cafes of Paris. In Collioure we will stay at a hilliside treasure situated right on the coast with stellar views of this historic town and the port. The hotel includes a private painting studio, pool, beach, and roomy accommodations that you won't want to leave. This will be command central for six days to explore the same color and light that inspired Matisse and Derain to change the art world and includes a trip into the hills to Ceret. There are options for other day trips to Banyuls-sur-mer as well as a Michelin Star dinner in the hotel restaurant.
